The Association of the Black Sea Zone Chambers of Commerce and Industry was founded in 1997 in the city of Mangalia, Romania.

Structure: General Assembly. Presidency is on a rotation principle.

In 1998 the Presidency was handed over to the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The last General Assembly was held in the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria in 1998 which took the following decisions:

• The creation of HOMEPAGE of the countries from the Black Sea Zone.
• The creation of an working group for working out of software product for sending information through INTERNET.
• Opening of Information stand of the BSEC Chambers of Commerce during the Plovdiv International Fair - 28 September - 3 October 1998.
