---------------------------------------------------------------------------
This time, let me explain why Japanese welding-related companies are engaged in developing welding human resources in the world.

In Japan, various companies such as Panasonic Corporation, Kobe Steel, Ltd., and Iwatani Corporation are developing cutting-edge technologies and new products every day. Once they are brought on the market, they need to be recognized by customers as good value and worth introducing, otherwise they will not grow sales. As a countermeasure, Japanese companies are making every effort to increase the number of welding personnel who properly understand “good welding”.

Panasonic Corporation, a welding equipment producing company, established technical centers with the latest welding machineries and tools and competent instructors in several parts of Japan, and has provided the client company staff with training for obtaining JIS welding qualifications and conducting certification tests approved by the Japan Welding Association as well. In addition, they offer a proposal for improvement of welding work and welding process to their client companies by demonstrating them with the latest welding equipment.

Kobe Steel is also engaged in activities similar to Panasonic by utilizing own welding materials and equipment. Iwatani Sangyo, a welding gas company, provides welding process experiment services in order to propose an optimal welding gas selection for its client companies, in the laboratory in Hyogo Prefecture.

The common idea among these Japanese companies is that in order to disseminate their latest technology and products to the world, it is necessary to train excellent welders and welding engineers who can understand and practice" good welding ". To that end, they consider personnel training as one of their mission.

Since the Japanese language consists of three styles of letters and characters: hiragana, katakana, and kanji, you need to understand two different Japanese syllabaries and Chinese characters in order to read a book, that could be a difficult obstacle to learn Japanese.

On the other hand, it is very effective to learn a language through videos and audio, but it is difficult to find the best materials.

Today, I would like to introduce you to a website called Aozora Bunko. Aozora Bunko is a site where you can access copyright-free Japanese novels, critiques, and other literary works for free. Some of them are audiobooks (read aloud), so you can easily become familiar with the Japanese language.

You can listen to the works of Japanese literary greats such as Ryunosuke Akutagawa and Kenji Miyazawa, as well as some foreign literature such as Andersen's fairy tales.

I hope you will find it useful for Japanese learning.
