SIPPO helps small and medium-sized companies in emerging markets and markets in transition to gain access to Swiss and EU markets and operates under the patronage of seco, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs.

On the basis of anticipated market opportunities, SIPPO is pleased to offer an import promotion programme on exotic/tropical fruits and vegetables. The programme consists of a group participation in the FRUIT LOGISTICA 2004 plus assistance during the trade fair and in the follow-up. Each company representative will find his or her booth ready to display the exhibits on the day before the opening of the fair. The number of participants is limited.

Target group
SIPPO focuses on small and medium-sized companies that

• offer exotic/tropical fruits or vegetables
• are ready for the international market
• preferably have some export experience
• produce according to international quality standards
• offer products marketable in Switzerland and the European Union
• are motivated and dedicated to deal with new markets
• have a representative in the company who has a sufficient command of the English language (verbal and written fluency)

Virtual Market Place - More fair, 365 days a year

The FRUIT LOGISTICA itself is over after only a few days. But the Virtual Market Place® forms an information and communication platform for the fresh produce business which offers the opportunity to get and give information about companies for exhibitors and visitors around the year.

To importers, exporters and producers from all over the world as well as wholesalers, retailers, canvassers and end-users the Virtual Market Place® offers a portal which allows them to access their products to interested people from all over the world, 24 hours a day. Visitors can make use of a year-round platform for information and communication.

Deadlines

Attendance fee
CHF 1,500 - if your company is attending for the 1^st time through SIPPO
CHF 2,000 - if your company is attending for the 2^nd time through SIPPO
CHF 3,000 - if your company is attending for the 3^rd time through SIPPO

Included:

• Stand rental (on average 9 to 12 m² are allocated per participant; depending on the availability of stand space, nature of products, etc.)
• Cost of erecting the exhibition booth (stand construction, company name, display facilities, lighting)
• General facilities offered by the collective stand (photocopier, beverages, coffee etc.)
• Hotel accommodation for two person in a double bed room from January 3 to 8 (5 nights) and public transportation pass during this period
• Promotional activities (publicity, direct mailshots to potential buyers, etc.)
• Entry of the company name in the official trade fair catalogue

Not included:

• Additional overnight accomodation and extras (phone calls, mini-bar, additional participants, etc.)
  
• Shipment of the exhibits and insurance of the exhibits
  
• Travel costs to the fair
  
• Personal insurance
  
• Additional stand arrangements: audio-visual equipment, coffee machine at the booth etc.
