The final conference to the BORDER project was hold

On 11.10.2004 in Venice (Italy), the final conference to the BORDER project was hold. The Euro Info Centre-Sofia with the BCCI, as well as EIC Vratsa and EIC Stara Zagora, as partners in this project participated in the organization of two business partnership events one in Venice and in another one in Thessaloniki. The total number of companies that took part in the two events was more than 1000, including 90 Bulgarian companies.

Each partners had to nominate a company, taking into account its activities and cooperation during business partnership events, as well as the number of signed contracts.

The Bulgarian company SIZIF PLC, producer of bee honey and honey products, was nominated by EIC Sofia and was awarded by the European Commission. The company was chosen because after its participation in Thessaloniki event the company signed four contracts with Greek companies and a cooperation agreement with Italian company for development and implementation of eco-programmes. The company has its own Vocational Training Centre and well equipped laboratory which is in a process of accreditation. The company is in a procedure of ISO 9001 certification and is introducing HACCP.
