For more than 40 years BCCI has kept a voluntary Unified Trade Register of Bulgarian companies and other legal entities.

Its main function and priority is to provide services to society and the business and to issue and validate relevant documents facilitating the entrepreneurs in carrying out their foreign trade activity.

Advantages of the Unified Trade Register:

a) centralized–the register files companies, partnerships etc. from all over the country without the need for their representatives to come to Sofia for this purpose. The Chamber has appointed its representatives in the 28 regional chambers of commerce and industry, members of the unified system of Bulgarian chambers of commerce and industry, who collect and process on the spot the necessary documents for registration;

b) the registration is done on the basis of unified application forms and while applying unified regulations and practices;

c) universal – the register files companies incorporated under the Commerce Act, partnerships under the Non-profit Legal Persons Act, cooperatives under the Cooperatives Act, enterprises, institutions, associations under Art. 357 of the Obligations and Contracts Act and other legal entities;

d) the register holds information on file for companies declared in insolvency or companies which have gone in liquidation proceedings ;

e) public - anyone who wishes (Bulgarian or foreign citizens) can obtain referential information from the register. Free access to the register is available online at the Chamber’s http://www.bcci.bg/ - Bulgarian and English version. The database is visited daily by approximately 1000 people.
