Business forum organized by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Agency Uzinfoinvest in Tashkent
The Bulgarian business delegation accompanying the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova and the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Bulgaria Bozhidar Loukarski on their working visit to Tashkent, took part in a business forum organized by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Agency Uzinfoinvest.
The forum was opened by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Alisher Shaykhov, who pointed out the long-term active cooperation between businesses and the chambers of commerce of the two countries. The participants in the forum were welcomed by the Bulgarian Ministers of Economy Bozhidar Loukarski and of Regional Development Lilyana Pavlova.
Elyor Madjidovich Ganiev, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced that during the sitting of the Bulgarian-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission agreements were reached to intensify cooperation in the sectors of energy, environment, infrastructure, food industry, agriculture, construction and promotion of trade and economic relations.
BCCI’s Secretary-General Vasil Todorov presented the opportunities for doing business in Bulgaria and the country’s priorities in the field of investment. The emphasis of his speech was on inviting Uzbek companies to invest in Bulgaria.
