There are opportunities for mutually favourable partnership in the field of textile industry between Bulgaria and Turkmenistan. This became clear during a meeting of Atamyrat Atayev, Deputy Minister of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan with the Management of BCCI and representatives of the Bulgarian textile industry. Experience and information were shared mostly regarding the business climate, business legislation and the commercial activity of the two countries in the textile sector.
The guest got acquainted to the structure and mission of BCCI. The main interests of the Bulgarian side concerning doing business in Turkmenistan were presented together with the overall business environment and mostly the opportunities for transport and repatriation of profits.
The textile industry in Turkmenistan is among the most developed industries in the national economy. During the meeting, the possibility to make use of the favourable location of Bulgaria by setting up a logistics center for raw materials and products for the textile industry was discussed. In this way time for delivery from Turkmenistan to EU member-states will decrease significantly.
Deputy Minister Atayev paid a visit to our country on the occasion of the third session of the Intergovernmental Bulgarian-Turkmen Commission for Economic Cooperation.
