Upcoming major events under the cooperation with Japan

A meeting of the Club of the Bulgarian – Japanese Economic Council (BJEC) at BCCI was held. The meeting was opened by Georgi Stoev, Vice-President of BCCI and Co-Chairman of the Council of the Bulgarian side.

The members of the Club agreed on the nomination of the Minister of Economy Bozhidar Loukarski as Honorary Chairman of BJEC.

After coordinating the election of Honorary Chairman, Georgi Stoev provided information about upcoming events in Japan in April – a round table with the participation of EU business, visit by the European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan, as well as a session of the Bulgarian – Japanese and the Japanese – Bulgarian economic councils. The planned events will take place in the period 20 – 23 April 2016 in Tokyo.

The Vice-President of BCCI informed about the upcoming visit of Minister Lukarski and a Bulgarian business delegation to Tokyo on 9 – 13 May 2016, which will coincide with the largest and most comprehensive exhibition in the field of information and telecommunication technologies in Japan – Japan IT Week Spring 2016.

The nominations for the Japanese quality award BOSEI were also discussed.
