Continued partnership between BCCI and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise

Tsvetan Simeonov, President of BCCI and Henrik Munthe, General Counsellor of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) discussed at a work meeting ideas for a project proposal to be submitted for funding during the new programming period to the Fund for Decent Work and Tripartite Dialogue within the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. BCCI in cooperation with NHO has already successfully implemented the project “TRUST”– Transparency for Sustainable Social Policy with the financial support of the Fund.

During the meeting the desire of both organizations was confirmed to continue their partnership towards improving the social dialogue and tripartite cooperation in Bulgaria by drawing on Norway’s experience and good practices during the new programming period. The measures which will be financed by the Fund are in the field of: social dialogue and tripartite cooperation structures; gender equality and non-discrimination in the workplace, balance between personal life and professional development, tripartite dialogue on issues related to employment contracts, working hours, social transfers, etc.

The main goal in the next programming period will remain the improvement of cooperation between the parties engaged in social dialogue, improving the capacity and skills of participants and increasing transparency in decision-making. The first call for proposals is expected to start in early 2017.
