Representatives of the Chinese Embassy visited BCCI

Mr. Yao Chaoying, the newly-appointed Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria visited BCCI and met with the President Tsvetan Simeonov. The former Economic and Commercial Counsellor - Mr. Yuan Kehua and the Third Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria - Mr. Luo Pengcheng also took part in the meeting.

Tsvetan Simeonov reiterated the excellent cooperation between the Chinese Embassy and the oldest business organization in Bulgaria – BCCI. Other topics discussed during the meeting included the Chamber’s network of regional chambers of commerce, branch organizations, its statistical print and electronic publications, voluntary Unified Trade Register, as well as the services it provides in support of Bulgarian business.

The guests were also interested in the Chamber’s cooperation with national and international structures, the activity of the Arbitration Court at BCCI, its international success and participation in organizations such as EUROCHAMBRES, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Organization of Employers (IOE) and with regional structures such as the Association of Balkan Chambers (ABC), the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), and the Central European Initiative (CEI).

On behalf of the Chinese party, Mr. Yao thanked for the provided opportunity to exchange information and ideas, and the former Economic and Commercial Counsellor Mr. Yuan wished his successor and Mr. Simeonov to keep the friendly relations and cooperation between BCCI and the Chinese Embassy.
