The trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Turkey were discussed in the course of the recent events

 Tsvetan Simeonov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey in Sofia Suleiman Gokce.

 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey in Sofia Suleiman Gokce accompanied by Mr M. Emrax Sazak, Chief Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy, held a meeting with the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov.

The purpose of the working visit was to discuss trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Turkey in the course of the recent events in our southern neighbor. Ambassador Gokce provided to Mr. Simeonov additional information about what was happening, and briefed him on the economic situation in the country

The President of the Chamber pointed out that there were no signs of Bulgarian companies for difficulties and problems in supply or failed transactions resulting from the situation in Turkey. It was found that there was no change in the trade and economic relations between the two countries, which was important in view of the positions of Turkey - one of our biggest trading partners and investors.

As an opportunity to expand bilateral cooperation Mr. Sazak provided information on the upcoming edition of the Izmir International Fair, which will take place from 26 August to 4 September 2016 in the city of Izmir - Turkey (http://ief.izfas.com.tr/home). The main theme of the fair this year is innovation, and Malaysia was chosen as partner country. There are meetings of foreign dignitaries with the Turkish businesses. Under this initiative numerous events are planned under the slogan "Izmir days of business."
