The US Ambassador visited for the first time BCCI

The US Ambassador visited for the first time BCCI. HE the Ambassador Eric Rubin met with the President of BCCI Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov. They discussed future joint projects and initiatives to support and facilitate the business environment in Bulgaria worldwide. BCCI had raised the importance of any American investment in the country with a view to strengthening the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy.

The talks were attended by Maria Galindo, Commercial Attache, and Sally Berhorst, Deputy - Head of the Political and Economic Section at the Embassy.

During the visit the economic situation in Bulgaria as a whole – worldwide, was discussed. Affected was the topic of private sector development in the country, the demographic crisis and the ways to create more jobs to attract back to Bulgaria young professionals who have graduated abroad, including in the US.

HE Mr. Rubin informed about upcoming visits of American entrepreneurs from different sectors of the economy in 2017 that BCCI will further announce.

Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov emphasized the good cooperation between the BCCI and the commercial section at the US Embassy in implementing joint events of an economic nature. Mentioned was the excellent cooperation of the Chamber with the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria. The President Of BCCI detailed HE Mr. Rubin with the membership of the Chamber in the international organizations. The leadership positions of BCCI were outlined among the potential partners and organizations in the regions and the world. The BCCI President explained about the service provided to customers in the issue of certificates of origin and digitization of the Arbitration Court at the BCCI.
