BCCI contributes to improving the qualifications and providing jobs for the unemployed

A total of 1450 unemployed persons took part in the organized trainings for professional qualification and acquisition of key competencies

BCCI successfully completed the project “QPIPA - Qualification, personal integration and professional assistance” under the National Action Plan for Employment four months before the envisaged project deadline.

A total of 1450 unemployed persons from all regions of the country took part in the organized trainings for professional qualification and acquisition of key competencies. 1333 of them successfully completed their training and were awarded certificates.

Jobs were provided for 727 unemployed persons who acquired skills and qualifications under the project, of which 73 subsidized jobs, and for 654 persons /with initially planned 507 persons/ job was provided on the primary labour market. This is 10% more than the initial goals and indicators, i.e. 147 more unemployed persons were provided with the means to pass the difficult path from unemployment to employment.

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has always made a significant effort for a balanced development of the labour market in order to satisfy the needs of employers for well-trained professionals that can handle the challenges of a dynamic and innovative developing economy, both in the country and in the EU. The acquisition of new knowledge and skills, new professional qualifications and key competencies is a factor for reducing unemployment, especially among young people who may thus be actively involved in the labour market.
