The newly appointed Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Bulgaria Shinichi Yamanaka had a meeting with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov

Future joint economic business events between the two states had been discussed

The newly appointed Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Bulgaria Shinichi Yamanaka visited BCCI and had a meeting with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov.

Mr. Simeonov acquainted his guest with the 121 year’s history of the BCCI and with some unique services, provided by the Chamber – the international standards in trade GS1 Bulgaria, the documents for interim import ATA,the economic classification TOP “100”, the available and regularly maintained statistics of 1500 Bulgarian companies in total, etc.

H.E. Shinichi Yamanaka has been informed about the number of the members of the Chamber – more than 40000 companies, about the active functioning network of 28 Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Council of the Sectoral Organizations with the BCCI, which may give their support at visits over the country – organization of regional meetings and visits to companies in definite sectors.

Future joint economic business events between the two states had been discussed too.

The newly appointed Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Bulgaria and the President of the Chamber Mr. Simeonov discussed also the strategic partnership of the BCCI with JETRO, with which the Chamber has long-term connections and dully signed Agreement for Cooperation, since 1977 for support of the bilateral economic relations through information exchange and organization of business missions, organization of exhibitions and fairs, etc.

JETRO is an official organization for foreign trade development, highly influential among the business circles in Japan.

Highly appreciated was the successful activity of the Bulgarian-Japanese Economic Council at the BCCI.

H.E. Shinichi Yamanaka outlined that the Japanese companies take interest in food industry and in agriculture in Bulgaria.
