Italian Ambassador to Sofia HE Stefano Baldi, along with his deputy - councilor Emanuele Pollio, have visited BCCI and talked with the President of the Chamber Mr.Tsvetan Simeonov.
The guests were acquainted with the activities of BCCI and the voluntary trade register at the Chamber. The President was proud to point out the achievement of BCCI –formal accreditation (among the first dozen of accredited Chambers in the world) by the International Chamber of Commerce - Paris for issuing electronic certificates and other commercial documents. Thanks to this accreditation, businessmen from the two countries are facilitated in fast customs clearance and avoiding customs warehousing. Chambers of Commerce of Italy have also been accredited for issuance of electronic certificates and other commercial documents.
The President of the Chamber familiarized HE Ambassador Baldi with the system of 28 regional chambers of BCCI. They have also discussed the advantages and disadvantages of different forms of membership adopted in European chambers of commerce. The guest was informed about the results of the visit to Italy and the meeting with the president of Confindustria (Association of Italian Entrepreneurs) Giorgio Squinzi and representatives of Italian business in Rome in 2014.
