A technical meeting with the Managing Authority of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Balkan-Mediterranean Transnational Cooperation Programme* took place in Thessaloniki, Greece. A representative of the BCCI took part in the meeting as the Chamber started working as a partner on a new approved project "AGROINNOECO", funded under Priority Axis 2 of the programme "Entrepreneurship and Innovation". The project duration is 2 years and the leading organization is the Western Greece Regional Development Fund. Other partners from Greece, Cyprus and Albania are also participating in the project.
The "AGROINNOECCO" project, implemented by the BCCI, is aimed at supporting innovative entrepreneurship in the agro-industry sector. A special focus of the project is the development of eco-agriculture. Agro entrepreneurs from the region will participate in training, exchange of experiences and good practices for the development of eco-farms.
Projects, funded under the programme have been presented during the meeting and separate meetings between the partners on each project have been organized. Representatives of the Joint Technical Secretariat have explained the rules for funding contracts and partnership agreements.
