BCCI fulfilled its goals and plans in support of business for 2017



The Management Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry adopted the Report on the Activity of BCCI for 2017 and approved the Programme for the Activity in 2018. The documents were adopted at the regular annual meeting of the Management Board of the Chamber held on 14 March.

During the meeting, the achievements of BCCI on facilitating the conditions for doing business in the country were presented, as well as the digitalization of the offered services, the constructive tripartite dialogue, and the intensified international contacts in the interest of entrepreneurship. It was reported that BCCI has achieved the goals laid down in its programme and has implemented the financial plans with a positive result.

The priorities of BCCI for 2018 include:

  • Expanding the activities and services in favour of SMEs in order to increase their competitiveness, develop innovation, and include them in international contact networks to increase their presence on the global market;
  • Informing the members of BCCI about novelties in the legislation, digitalisation of business, applying for projects and programmes, trade agreements;
  • Holding a EUROCHAMBRES Board meeting in Sofia during the European Parliament of Enterprises, within the framework of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU;
  • Connecting the databases of the Unified Trade Register of BCCI and the GS1 Bulgaria Product Catalogue to provide additional information about the characteristics of the products;
  • Implementing a project for an Interactive Business Road Map in Bulgaria.

The Programme of BCCI for 2018 is open and will be updated in compliance with the economic situation in the country, as well as supplemented with ideas and proposals by the partners of the Chamber, the companies and the branch organizations.

BCCI will continue to carry out its overall activity relying entirely on its own funds, without any support by the state.
