BCCI and the Indo-Asia Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce in partnership to promote trade and investment between Bulgaria and India



Within the IT Hub Connect 2018* conference Tsvetan Simeonov, President of BCCI, had a meeting with Dr. Dietrich Kebschull, Chairman of the Indo-Asia Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Mrs. Sharda Subramaniam, Director.

Tsvetan Simeonov acquainted the management of the Indo-Asia Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce with the activity of BCCI and its main databases, including the voluntary Unified Trade Register and the financial reports of leading companies in the Bulgarian economy. The President of BCCI emphasized the activity of the Arbitration Court and the number of cases. He said that the first agreement in the field of arbitration with India was signed in 1976 with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Dr. Kebschull presented the activity of the Indo-Asia Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce which was established last year in Delhi with the purpose of promoting the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and India in the field of trade and Investment.

Tsvetan Simeonov expressed the readiness of BCCI to assist the Indo-Asia Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce in fulfilling its objectives in favour of the Indian and Bulgarian business.

* The IT Hub Connect 2018 conference was held on 26 and 27 March 2018 in Sofia under the auspices of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU. During the forum opportunities for investment and innovation in Bulgaria and the EU were discussed, with a focus on the possibility to strengthen the cooperation in the IT sector and recognising Bulgaria as a gateway for India to the Common European Digital Market.
