BCCI awarded the Counsellor for Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Thai Hoa with an Honorary Diploma

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented the Counsellor for Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Thai Hoa with an Honorary Diploma on the occasion of the end of his third term of office in Sofia. The Diploma is awarded for his active collaboration with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and for his contribution to the development of the economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Vietnam.

During the work meeting, BCCI’s cooperation with partners from Vietnam during Mr. Hoa’s three terms of office in Bulgaria was discussed. The current economic situation in Vietnam was also reviewed. The Counsellor noted that since 2016, the minimum wage has grown by about 30% per year. Vietnam’s exports to EU countries have also increased. Since the beginning of his first term of office in Sofia in 2011 until 2018 trade between Bulgaria and Vietnam has increased several times. Bulgarian exports to Vietnam, consisting mainly of crops, have also exhibited an upward tendency.

The Counsellor thanked BCCI for its assistance in the organization of various joint initiatives and for providing useful information to the business. On his part, Tsvetan Simeonov assured the guest that he could rely on the Chamber’s support in the execution of his future tasks for the benefit of the business.
