The Ambassador of the State of Qatar visited BCCI

At the invitation of BCCI, H.E. Rashid Bin Ali Al-Khater, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar in Sofia, visited the Chamber and met with its President Tsvetan Simeonov. The Chairman of the Bulgaria – Qatar Business Council at BCCI Mr. Asparuh Karastoyanov also took part in the meeting.

The state of the economic relations between the two countries was discussed. It was established that there is huge untapped potential and opportunities. Goals for the future development of the bilateral relations were outlined for whose realization the Embassy of Qatar in Sofia and BCCI will cooperate.

Ambassador Al-Khater and Tsvetan Simeonov agreed that the most promising and interesting sectors for bilateral cooperation are agriculture and SPA tourism.

The meeting was held after the official state visit to our country of the Amir of Qatar H.E. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in March of this year. Then, on the occasion of the visit, a Bulgaria – Qatar Business Forum was organized, during which BCCI and the Qatar Chamber signed a Memorandum on the establishment of a joint business council.
