BCCI presented the Commercial Counsellor of the People’s Republic of China in Bulgaria with an Honorary Diploma

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented the Commercial Counsellor of the People’s Republic of China in Bulgaria YAO Chaoying with an Honorary Diploma on the occasion of the end of his term of office and for his contribution to the development of the bilateral economic relations and his excellent cooperation with the Chamber.

“2018 was a very intense year for the economic relations between Bulgaria and China”, said the President of BCCI during the meeting. “The joint projects and events that we organized in cooperation with the Embassy of China in Sofia are really numerous”, he added and pointed out that this is a result of the serious work of the entire Embassy team.

The Commercial Counsellor said that China is already third by volume of trade of Bulgaria with third countries. He expressed his gratitude for the assistance, support and cooperation he has received from the management and the team of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The newly-appointed Commercial Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Sofia Wang Xuekun, the Secretary General of BCCI Vasil Todorov, and representatives of the Embassy also took part in the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, Tsvetan Simeonov confirmed that BCCI will continue its cooperation with partners from China, including with the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce and with Chinese regional chambers of commerce and industry.
