Eurasian Business Forum - a platform for introduction to the economic potential of the countries in the region

BCCI and the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly signed a Cooperation Agreement




A business forum organized by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, a non-governmental organization comprising business associations from 67 countries, was held at the Chamber. The event was attended by participants from Bulgaria, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Serbia and France.

In his opening speech, the Secretary General of BCCI Vasil Todorov stressed that the forum provides a good platform for acquainting Bulgarian businesses with the opportunities of the economies of the Eurasian countries and vice versa. He said that BCCI offers a wide range of high-quality services - both for Bulgarian and foreign companies interested in the Bulgarian market.

In his address, Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly also underlined the importance of the development of economic relations with the Eurasian countries.

BCCI and the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly signed a Cooperation Agreement to put into practice the discussed opportunities for cooperation in support of businesses.

Konstantin Artyushin, Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sofia, addressed the representatives of the Bulgarian business and noted the active and result-oriented commercial relations between Bulgaria and Russia, which is Bulgaria’s second trading partner after the EU. The import and export list includes mainly energy resources, but the two countries are working actively to diversify the commodity exchange.

The participants in the forum got acquainted with and discussed the following topics: opportunities for business cooperation, potential for development and intensification of trade between the Eurasian countries and in particular with Bulgaria, digital business, investment projects in Bulgaria, infrastructure projects, tourism potential of Bulgaria, wine tourism, etc.
