First Meeting under Project for Cross-Border Economic Cooperation Bulgaria – Serbia

 
On 15 September 2011, in Vladicin Han, Serbia the first meeting under project CONNECTION – Centre for Exchange of Information on Cross-border Economic Cooperation, in which BCCI is a partner, was held. The project is funded from the European Union under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) Cross-border Cooperation Bulgaria – Serbia. Participants in the project are the Centre for Development of Jablanica and Pcinja Districts in Serbia, Vladicin Han Municipality and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The project was developed in 2009. Its main goal is to establish a Centre for exchange of information on cross-border economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Serbia. The Centre will be situated in Vladicin Han, Serbia. BCCI’s role in the project is to create a tri-lingual website about the economic relations in the region and cross-border cooperation. 
During the meeting, the Mayor of Vladicin Han Municipality Mr. Nenad Mitrovic, the Director of Centre for Development of Jablanica and Pcinja Districts Ms. Biljana Stankovic and BCCI’s Project Coordinator Ms. Gabriela Dimitrova established a Joint Steering Committee for the project connection. 
The duration of the project is 18 months and the estimated budget is 445 537.40 Euro.
