Discussion of initiatives to promote the commercial and economic relations Bulgaria – Lebanon

Ahmad Alaeddine, President of the Lebanese – Bulgarian Business Council and representatives of the Business Council visited BCCI and met with the Chamber’s President Tsvetan Simeonov. The aim of the meeting was to formulate specific activities for promotion of the commercial and economic relations between Bulgaria and Lebanon.

Ahmad Alaeddine presented information on the current economic situation in Lebanon and upcoming initiatives of the Business Council in 2020. A visit of Lebanese businessmen is expected in mid-January next year and BCCI will additionally inform its members about the companies’ profiles.

During the meeting, specific forms of cooperation between the members of the Lebanese – Bulgarian Business Council and Bulgarian companies were also discussed. Mr. Alaeddine pointed out that new Lebanese food products are expected to enter the Bulgarian market in 2020.

Possible future cooperation in the field of education between universities from both countries was also in the focus of discussion.
