Meeting with the Honorary Consul of Bangladesh

Georgi Ivanov, Honorary Consul of Bangladesh in Bulgaria, visited BCCI and discussed with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov the opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Ivanov said that Bangladesh is the second largest textile exporter in the world after China. Agriculture, food industry, light industry and defense industry are also well developed sectors of economy.

Tsvetan Simeonov presented the current economic situation in Bulgaria, and introduced the Honorary Consul to the activity of BCCI in support of Bulgarian business and the latest achievements of the Arbitration Court and the Unified Trade Register at BCCI. In this regard, it became clear that there is a specialized Employment and Training Bureau operating under the Government of Bangladesh to facilitate hiring workers from the country.

The possible organization of an exhibition of traditional goods from Bangladesh and the exchange of business delegations were among the other topics addressed at the meeting.
