Meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Brazil in Sofia

The President of  the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Brazil in Sofia HE. Maria Edileuza Fontenele Reis. During her first to the Chamber, she was accompanied by Claudio Nascimento, Minister – counsellor at the Embassy.

Simeonov briefed the diplomats on BCCI's activities and shared his impressions on the excellent cooperation with the Embassy of the South American country so far.

He stressed that the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry endeavors to provide up-to-date business information to the Bulgarian entrepreneurs and looks forward to organizing an event jointly with the Embassy of Brazil in 2020, at which new business opportunities will be presented between Bulgarian and Brazilian companies.

Ambassador Reis shared the basic guidelines that she will work on during her mandate in Bulgaria. These include identification of Bulgarian goods and services to reach out market niches in Brazil, as well as promotion of the trade and investment cooperation. Animal feeds and fertilizers produced in Bulgaria, have been already successfully implemented in the country. She said that there is a potential for development in the fields of agriculture, food industry and winemaking.
