Despite the pandemic, the level of interest in economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Israel remains stable



The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov held a meeting with the management of the Bulgarian-Israeli Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Prof. Ruslan Penchev, Chairman, and Simeon Angelov, Deputy Chairman. The participants updated their plans for joint activities and initiatives by the end of 2020.

Simeonov noted that bilateral cooperation still has a lot of potential for development due to the competitiveness of the Israeli economy and the advantages in a number of sectors: IT, security, energy, R&D, medicine, etc.

Prof. Penchev shared that the partner networks between the two countries are expanding in a number of other areas which will lead to intensification of the bilateral relations. He informed that cooperation between Ben-Gurion University and the Technical University of Sofia is being discussed under the project "Competence Center MIRACle - Mechatronics, Innovation, Robotics, Automation, Clean Technologies".

During the meeting it was noted that despite the pandemic, the level of interest in economic cooperation between the two countries remains stable, even growing.
