A few days after handing over his credentials, the new Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H.E. Sufyan Qudah, based in Bucharest, visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and met with its President Tsvetan Simeonov. The meeting was also attended by the Honorary Consul of Jordan Dr. Hasan Barmawi.
Up-to-date information about the activities of BCCI in favour of Bulgarian and foreign companies was provided, as well as information on the conditions for doing business in Jordan. Special attention was paid to the Foreign Investment Act, which provides many benefits for companies that process or finish their products in the country.
Simeonov stressed that in its 125-year history, the BCCI has concluded a series of partnership agreements with the Federation of Jordanian Chambers of Commerce, Amman Chamber of Commerce, and Amman Chamber of Industry, and maintains cooperation with the Jordanian Business Development Corporation, the Jordan - Europe Business Association, and the Jordan Investment Council. The wide range of partners in the country is a prerequisite for more intensive bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting it was agreed to jointly organize a virtual event to inform Bulgarian companies about the opportunities for doing business with Jordan.
