BCCI took part in a meeting hosted by the Bulgarian Head of State Rumen Radev

The potential of the Bulgarian private sector must be used to the maximum during the Bulgarian chairmanship of the Three Seas Initiative. This message was sent by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, who held meetings with representatives of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria.

The inclusion of Bulgarian companies in forums accompanying the initiative will increase their visibility and create opportunities for partnerships and funding of key projects, especially in the field of high technology and telecommunications, the Bulgarian Head of State stressed.

The representatives of both business organizations expressed their support for the initiative whose aim is regional connectivity. The potential of the "Three Seas" for the implementation of high value-added projects was highlighted. The largest technology companies in the world are expected to take part in the business forum which will be organized during the Bulgarian chairmanship of the initiative.

The Bulgarian Head of State Rumen Radev and the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov discussed the possibilities for attracting representatives of the chambers of commerce from the participating countries in the region in joint projects within the Three Seas Initiative. Simeonov noted that the BCCI, which this year holds the rotating chairmanship of the Association of Balkan Chambers, has already included the “Three Seas” topic and the Bulgarian hosting of the initiative in the organization’s programme.

The President of BCCI presented the results of recent studies conducted by the Chamber on important economic issues, as well as the priorities of the Association of the Organizations Bulgarian Employers for 2021. At the end of the meeting, Tsvetan Simeonov presented the Head of State with a jubilee medal on the occasion of the 125^th anniversary  of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry .
