BCCI honoured the Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Sofia

H.E. Rashid bin Ali Al Khater, Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Sofia, visited the BCCI and talked with the President Mr.Tsvetan Simeonov.

The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented an honorary diploma to Ambassador Ali Al Khater on the occasion of his departure from Bulgaria. The diploma is for his contribution to the development of economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Qatar and for active cooperation with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry during his term.

The development of economic relations between the two countries was discussed at the meeting. There are many different opportunities for the development of trade and investment process between Bulgaria and Qatar, but Ambassador Ali Al Khater stressed on the interest of Qatar to send to Bulgaria students in the field of medicine because of the quality offered by the Bulgarian educational system.

According to the Ministry of Economy, trade with Qatar in the first 6 months of 2020 amounted to 8.2 million USD with an increase of 3% compared to the same period in 2019 - exports - 6.3 million USD. . and imports of $ 1.8 million.
