BCCI hosted a cocktail – presentation of the tropical fruit mango

On Monday, 9th of August, the BCCI premises hosted a cocktail – presentation of the tropical fruit mango. The Pakistan Embassy in Sofia supported the event.

BCCI's President, Mr. Tvestan Simeonov, invited interested company representatives and importers, installing them with a welcome speech focusing on the good cooperation between the BCCI and the Embassy of Pakistan. He expressed his expectations with the help of food processing machine producers from Bulgaria to develop a way for mango food products to be available all year round on the Bulgarian market.

The Chargé d'Affaires of the Pakistani Embassy, Mr. Omer Manzoor Malik, equally delivered a speech. He stated that this particular event aims at informing the Bulgarian business about the opportunities to develop cooperation with mango producers from Pakistan and about the qualities of the fruit itself.  He also noted that this event is unique because it is the first time directly targeting potential national importers.

Mr. Malik highlighted the large production volume in Pakistan, acquainting 1,8 billion mangos. Evenly, he informed of the established solid distribution chain, making it possible to deliver the products in mass quantity to other European countries alike.

The Pakistani mango itself has a sweet taste and a delicious aroma captivated by a bright yellow skin. This fruit can be served raw but also easily in smoothies, juice, desserts, and cooked.
