Business meetings between companies from Russia and Bulgaria





The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry took part in an online meeting with Moscow companies interested in Bulgaria. Vasil Todorov, Secretary General of the BCCI, addressed the participants in the event, organized by the Moscow Export Center, and said that the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has numerous partners from around the world, and in the Russian Federation maintains contacts with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Expocenter Moscow, the International Bank for Economic Cooperation based in Moscow, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and many regional chambers.

In 2021, together with Russian partners, including Russia's Trade Representation in Bulgaria, BCCI co-organized a series of online events with B2B meetings with partners from Rostov region, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Perm region, and Bryansk region.

The Secretary General of the BCCI pointed out that in 2020 the Russian Federation accounted for 4.0% of Bulgaria's foreign trade, but bilateral trade has great potential for diversification of the traded goods and services, as well as for balancing the trade balance, which is negative for Bulgaria.

Participants in the online business mission were also greeted by Konstantin Artyushin, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Bulgaria and Boris Gromov, Director of the Moscow Cultural and Business Center "Moscow House of Sofia".

Following the main goals of the event - establishing and developing business relations between Moscow companies and Bulgarian partners, as well as presenting Russian goods and services on the Bulgarian market, the online business mission was attended by 20 companies from Moscow and the region working in: construction, IT, production of machinery and equipment, consumer goods, furniture and textiles.
