BCCI met with the new management of the Bulgarian Development bank

In continuation of the recent working meetings held as part of the Three Seas Initiative business forum, the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov and Vladimir Tomov, Chairman of the Investment Council at BCCI, met with the new Chair of the Board and Executive Director of the Bulgarian Development Bank Mariyana Petkova. The meeting was also attended by Sofia Kasidova, Head of “Strategic and Sustainable Development” and Albena Borisova, Head of “Corporate Banking” at the BDB.

Simeonov emphasized BCCI’s readiness to continue its cooperation with the bank in order to present its products suitable for SMEs. Partnership in organizing the upcoming Sofia Money Expo on 3-4 October 2022 in Sofia was also discussed. The Bulgarian Development Bank proposed the inclusion of green lending in the topics that will be discussed during the event organized by BCCI, the Investment Council at BCCI and the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA).

Mariyana Petkova shared the main points of the new strategy for the activities of the Bulgarian Development Bank, which follows its mission to support and assist the development of business in Bulgaria with a focus on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. BDB realizes investments in key sectors for the economy: energy efficiency, agriculture, urban development, exports.
