During a working meeting between the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov and Ahmad Alaeddine, President of the Lebanese - Bulgarian Business Council and President of the Association of Bulgarian - Arab Economic Chambers, upcoming events to promote the bilateral business relations between Bulgaria and Lebanon were discussed.
Ahmad Alaeddine informed that a Lebanese restaurant is expected to be opened in Sofia, Lozenets, in September 2022. Introducing Lebanese cuisine is only part of the process of acquainting both countries.
Simeonov also was informed about the preparation of a business forum, whose purpose will be to establish direct contact between Bulgarian and Lebanese entrepreneurs. Currently, there is a strong interest in import and export of food products and raw materials. BCCI will provide additional information about the period and venue of the business forum.
The President of the Association of Bulgarian - Arab Economic Chambers also presented some of the results of the recent visit to Qatar of a Bulgarian business delegation. As a continuation of the agreements reached during this visit, Bulgarian producers are already exporting confectionery, yellow cheese and canned vegetables to the Arab country.
