Meetings for sharing experience between members of the World Trade Centers Association









As part of the initiative of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) to share experience among the organization’s members, BCCI held online meetings with World Trade Center Rennes Bretagne, France and World Trade Center Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. The talks were moderated by Danica Milovanovic, Membership and Business Development Consultant for Central and Eastern Europe at WTCA.

Tsvetan Simeonov, President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a team of experts from the Chamber’s "International Cooperation and International Organizations" Directorate, discussed with their colleagues from the World Trade Center Rennes Bretagne the current economic situation in Bulgaria and France and opportunities for cooperation.

The President of BCCI presented the economic environment in Bulgaria, emphasizing the rising prices of electricity and natural gas. He shared that the Chamber stimulates and encourages every single entrepreneur in this unpredictable economic and political environment to switch to renewable energy sources for their own needs.

Nicholas Beaty, Coordinator of World Trade Center Rennes Bretagne informed about the current situation in France – the rising prices of electricity, the drought in the region, as well as the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. He presented the services that WTC Rennes Bretagne offers to its members.

The meeting of BCCI’s  management and experts with colleagues from the World Trade Center Leeuwarden, the Netherlands was in continuation of the partnership between the two organizations and a joint webinar held in 2021, dedicated to the presentation of Bulgaria as a business destination.

Evert Jan Schouwstra, Managing Director of WTC Leeuwarden  and member of the Advisory Board of the European members of WTCA, presented the main commercial activities that the center offers. Emphasis was placed on the structure of the WTC Leeuwarden  and the interest groups that function in it in the field of food industry, agricultural technology, trade, etc.

Gabriela Dimitrova, Director "International Cooperation and International Organizations" at BCCI, expressed hope for deepening the cooperation between Bulgarian and Dutch companies, organizing business missions, finding partners, publishing business offers.
