BCCI expands business ties with Taiwanese partners

BCCI participated in an online meeting with partners from Taiwan, organized at the initiative of the Director of Taiwan Trade Center in Sofia – Shane Tsai. Ting Ling Liu from the Economic Section of the Taiwan Mission in Ankara, Turkey and representatives of the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA), Peggy Lu, Director and Jason Tzu-cheng Huang, “European Department”,  also took part in the meeting.

BCCI was represented by Gabriela Dimitrova, Director “International Cooperation and International Organizations” and Miroslava Markova, Chief Expert.

During the meeting, activation of the bilateral cooperation was discussed. The following sectors of mutual interest were identified: automotive industry - spare parts, food industry, textiles, tourism, energy sector.

The participants in the meeting discussed specific measures for the development of trade and economic relations. It was agreed to hold an informational event in January 2023 with partners from Taiwan, in order to get acquainted with the latest developments in the economy, legislation and investment opportunities.

The organization of a business delegation to Taiwan in the second half of next year was also discussed.
