Opportunities for expansion of the economic cooperation with African countries

A meeting was held at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry /BCCI/ with Yanko Yordanov, Ambassador of Bulgaria to Nigeria, also accredited to Benin, Ghana, Congo and Rwanda. The President of BCCI, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, and the diplomat discussed the upcoming activities and plans for economic cooperation expansion with the African countries.

Ambassador Yordanov informed that a trade mission is being prepared by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bulgaria at the end of April this year. The Nigerian companies have interest in the following sectors: pharmaceuticals, information technology, financial technology, high-tech agriculture, food processing, processing and canning, education, mining, etc.

Opportunities for cooperation between the BCCI, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Crafts in Pointe-Noire, the Republic of Congo and the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ghana were also discussed throughout the conversation. Sectors of mutual interest that could be developed with Congolese partners are: agriculture, technology, light industry.
