The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov held a working meeting with H.E. Katarina Rangnitt, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden. It was in continuation of the meeting of the EU Club at BCCI, held in January this year to present the priorities of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The President of BCCI discussed with Ambassador Rangnitt various topics, directly answering her questions related to the state of the business environment in Bulgaria, and how business works in the current conditions without a stable government and against the background of various international crises. He explained the economic situation in the country and confirmed that Bulgarian companies continue to be export-oriented, with strong interests in renewable energy sources and open to innovation. Ambassador Rangnitt informed that Swedish companies operating in Bulgaria place an emphasis precisely on innovations in order to achieve higher competitiveness.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador received the baton – symbol of the EU Club at BCCI with a promise to achieve the maximum of the Swedish Presidency's priorities: security, competitiveness, green and energy transitions, democratic values and rule of law.
