The new Bulgarian ambassador in Germany visited BCCI

Mr. Grigor Porozhanov, the newly appointed ambassador of Bulgaria in Berlin, visited BCCI and met with the President, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov. During the meeting, the bilateral economic relations and the opportunities for intensification of the trade between Bulgaria and Germany were discussed.

Mr. Simeonov recommended that Ambassador Porozhanov conducts a meeting with the Management body of the Union of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) –a long-time partner of BCCI. The ambassador, for his part, presented the priorities of his mission, oriented towards the activation of the commercial and economic relations.

Mr. Simeonov noted that the bilateral business contacts should be further strengthened and improved with the exchange of business delegations at governmental level, but not limited only to that, the experience of Germany to be used also, concerning entry to third markets. In the past years, all business delegations from Germany have had a great effect on the Bulgarian economy. Mr. Simeonov undertook to provide assistance in upcoming business visits and wished success to ambassador Porozhanov.

According to the data of the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, in 2021 the flow of direct foreign investments from Germany in our country amounts to 271.1 million euros. In 2022 the export was 6667.7 million euros and the import was 5106.2 million euros.
