Delegation from Iraqi Kurdistan to visit Bulgaria in October

Stanislav Nokov, Head of the of Trade and Economic Office situated in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan and the President of the BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov discussed some future initiatives concerning the buildout of the commercial and economic relations between Bulgaria and Iraq.

The conversation was focused on the forthcoming visit of a delegation from Association of Industry and Trade Development of Businessmen – Nineva in October this year and the planning of a business forum and regional visits. Representatives of the Association visited the BCCI in 2016 and since then a mutually beneficial cooperation has been in place. The delegation will presumably be joined by representatives of the agricultural, commercial and industrial sectors. BCCI will provide additional information about the date and the program of the business forum.

Stanislav Nokov commented further on the economic and financial situation in Iraq, sharing his impressions of a noticeable rise in the number of Bulgarian tourists to Iraqi Kurdistan. He also emphasizes on the specific visa mode for the Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region – the two territories require different kind of visas and travelers are advised to visit one area at a time.
