Bulgarian export for China needs evolve in the direction of high-tech products

Fintech, hi-tech, software and tourism are the industries to be brought out with priority

The President of the Bulgarian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lachezar Dinev and the vice-president of the chamber Dr. Ivoslav Ganchev visited the BCCI and had talks with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov about the development of trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and China.

They discussed the stumblingblocks as of today to the progress of the bilateral relations, as well as the growing negative trade balance with China in recent years. Another topic of the conversation were the forthcoming initiatives and exhibition partaking of the Bulgarian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

An insignificant number of Bulgarian products are currently sold in China and none of them are in the field of high technologies. 11 out of the 12 items we export to China can be referred to as raw materials or the like. Fintech, hi-tech, software and tourism are the industries that we need to launch with priority. It is of high importance to be able to exchange students and scientific potential if we want to do business, Dinev added.
