BCCI awarded an honorary degree to the Ambassador of Pakistan

The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov presented an honorary degree to H.E. Mariam Madiha Aftab, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on the occasion of the end of her mandate in our country. The honour was presented during a meeting of the active partners of the Embassy of Pakistan in Sofia and marked Her Excellency’s successful cooperation and contribution to the development of bilateral trade and economic relations during her tenure from 2020 to date.

The President of the BCCI shared his appreciation and content with the joint work and expressed his positiveness that Mrs Mariam Madiha Aftab will remain a friend of Bulgaria.

During her four-year stay in our country Ambassador Aftab collaborated with the organization of a number of events and initiatives, such as the business forums with bilateral meetings, the exhibition of Pakistani goods and the mango festival in Sofia. Her ardent engagement and consistent efforts made the Bulgarian-Pakistani Business Council project become a reality.
