Bulgaria and Georgia share some common economic ground





The new commercial adviser at the Embassy of Georgia to Sofia, Natia Vashalomidze, visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. At the very beginning of her mandate in Bulgaria she spoke with President Tsvetan Simeonov about the common economic interests of the two countries.

Simeonov presented the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in support of the companies, which save the companies time, money and effort in their foreign trade affairs. He emphasized that the cooperation of the Chamber with the Embassy of Georgia in Sofia and the Embassy of Bulgaria in Tbilisi was very dynamic and the illustrations and results coming from it were are really good. During and immediately after the pandemic many companies from both countries were supported in their cooperation and contacts. The last working meeting between the BCCI and the Georgian CCI took place at the end of 2022 with the purpose of creating new plans for joint ventures.

Vashalomidze talked about the wine sector, well developed in Georgia, and referred to some interesting facts about the cultivation of grapes and the production of wines and beverages in her country. Simeonov pointed out that the spheres of mutual interest included not only wine production and tourism, but also pharmacy, energy, etc.

The President of the BCCI notified of his upcoming visit to Georgia on the occasion of the regional meeting of the International Organization of Employers, which is to held in Tbilisi at the end of this month. The program of the event involves meetings with local partners and employer organizations from Europe and Central Asia.
