Bulgaria and the Arab countries - expanding cooperation, collaboration and synergy

The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tsvetan Simeonov, was one of the official guests at the reception on the occasion of the national holiday of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), held in Sofia. During the event H.E. Arabia Khalid bin Kamal Fakih,  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bulgaria was awarded the Honorary plaque of the Association on Bulgarian-Arabic economic chambers. Ahmad Alaeddine, President of the Association, presented the award, pointing out the commercial and economic relations between Bulgaria and the countries of the Arab world were going well and thriving.

Bulgaria's bilateral trade relations with the various Arab countries are dynamic. In 2022, the biggest commercial growth recorded was with Qatar - 129.3%. Trade with Iraq increased by 87.8% and with the UAE - by 49%. Bulgaria and Egypt marked 38.8% percent economic gain.

Bulgarian goods are appreciated and welcomed at the market in Arab countries, and some of them travel to even more faraway destinations.
