BCCI awarded an honorary degree to H.E. Mr Narahira Hiroshi

H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Narahira, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Bulgaria, visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry before expiry of his mandate. The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov expressed his pleasure and gratification with the teamwork of both the Embassy of Japan in Sofia and the BCCI under the authority of Ambassador Narahira. He used the occasion to thank once again for the honorary 2022 degree presented to him by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan for enhancing and strengthening the commercial and economic exchange between Japan and Bulgaria.

Ambassador Narahira pointed out that in 2024 Bulgaria and Japan will be celebration several anniversaries in their diplomatic relations (85 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations and 65 years since their restoration). He expressed his hopes for a successful cooperation between the Embassy and BCCI with the appointment of the new Ambassador, expected to come to Bulgaria very soon.

Simeonov awarded an honorary degree to the Ambassador for his contribution to the development of the economic relations between the two countries and the excellent cooperation with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry during his mandate. Ambassador Narahira was also awarded a silver Ivan Grozev pas-relief, crafted on the 125th anniversary of BCCI and his first President. .
