The ambassador of Cuba visited the BCCI

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Sofia, H.E. Marieta Garcia Jordan, visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and had talks with the President Tsvetan Simeonov. The meeting was attended by Roberto Martinez, first secretary at the Embassy, and Vladislav Mihailov, chairman of the National Association of Milk Processors (NAM).

Ambassador Jordan introduced the very recent 39th edition of the FIHAV 2023 International Fair in Havana. The event has been first time attended by representatives of the National Association of Milk Processors in Bulgaria. Mihailov expressed his contentment with the participation and the meetings held with Cuban companies from the milk processing industry, as well as the opportunities to sell Bulgarian cottage and yellow cheeses on the Cuban market. The event presented also the occasion for a meeting with the president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Antonio Luis Carricarte, to discuss sectors of mutual interest in enhancing bilateral trade in renewable energy, food industry, animal husbandry, healthcare, etc. The Cuban Chamber of Commerce is planning a visit of its member companies to Bulgaria next year. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry will further inform interested Bulgarian companies willing to establish future relations.
