Representatives of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in a virtual meeting for presenting the 2024 priorities and program of the Association of Balkan Chambers /ABC/. This year the organization will be presided by the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia with its President Branko Azeski, following the rotational management of ABC.
To achieve integration and development of economic collaboration in the region and increase business cooperation between our countries, this year will be dedicated to the improvement of infrastructure connection in the Balkan region. Infrastructure contributes to higher productivity and growth, facilitates trade and connectivity, and promotes economic inclusion. For these reasons, throughout 2024 ABC will focus its activities on infrastructure, with professional, dedicated, and detailed analyses in which the main stakeholders and policymakers will be involved, but also taking into consideration the experiences and good practices of the member countries of the Association /Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Romania, Turkey/.
ABC agenda for 2024 will cover current issues of the economic environment in the region, including the perspectives of the Balkan countries to join the EU and the Eurozone, as well as the issue of trade and economic integration of the countries of the region. The main focus in 2024 will be the infrastructure and the connection between the Balkan countries, but also the cooperation in that filed with some international financial organizations.
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will regularly give publicity to the forthcoming ABC events.
