International recognition: BCCI will hosted the European Regional Meeting of World Trade Centers in 2025

This was publicly announced during the meeting of the world trade centers in the city of Dresden, Germany /June 10-12, 2024/




BCCI, as an associate member of the World Trade Centers Association /WTCA/, participated in the European Regional Meeting of World Shopping Centers, which was held in a hybrid format - online and on-site in the city of Dresden, Germany. The Chairman of the Chamber, Tsvetan Simeonov, and experts participated in the event, together with over 50 representatives of world trade centers in Europe.

Simeonov thanked that the application of the Chamber to host the next European meeting of ASTC in 2025. has been approved and emphasized the fact that the event coincides with the 130th anniversary of the BCCI. In advance, he informed about the agenda that awaits the guests in Sofia, emphasizing the accompanying cultural and social program.

In his speech, the President of the Chamber presented the advantages of Bulgaria, including stability, low taxes, low national debt, acceptable labor costs, etc. Simeonov also made a brief presentation of Sofia - a rapidly developing European capital, the center of an entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem.

During the two-day event, the activities of World Trade Center Dresden, the host of the meeting, as well as the economy of the state of Saxony, Germany, were presented. Also discussed were the topics of the services that world shopping centers provide to their members, as well as the activities of business clubs for them, etc.

The participants in the meeting also celebrated the International Day of World Trade Centers. On June 12, 2002, Michael Bloomberg, the then mayor of New York City, declared this day World Trade Center Day.

22 years on, the association's members say they are even more united and ready to help national and local economies cope with the challenging environment for doing business internationally.
