BCCI with a new project in the field of human resources

It’s planned 877 unemployed persons in training in 14 professions and acquisition of key competences

A skilled workforce is critical to ensuring a socially just ecological and digital transition and to strengthening the country's sustainable competitiveness and resilience to adverse external shocks, such as the COVID-19 pandemic or the consequences of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.

With more relevant and better aligned skills, new opportunities open up and people can participate fully in the labor market, society and democracy, use and benefit from the opportunities of the environmental and digital transition and exercise their rights. Both throughout the European Union and in Bulgaria, employers report difficulties in finding workers with the necessary skills.

Project "TOMORROW"of BCCI has as its main goal increasing the quantity and improving the quality of the labor offered in accordance with economic needs. To achieve this main goal and according to the established needs of the labor market and the needs of the target groups, the following specific goals have been defined:

  • Creating an opportunity for the integration of unequal groups in the labor market by acquiring knowledge and skills sought by employers;
  • Encouraging participation in lifelong learning activities to increase labor supply and improve access to the labor market;
  • Improving the quality of the workforce in the context of the digitalization of the economy and the just transition to climate neutrality.

It is planned that 877 unemployed persons from disadvantaged groups living in the territory of more than 24 municipalities will be covered by the training activities in key competences and professional training.

The professional trainings will prepare personnel for the sectors: "trade", "informatics", "business management", "production", "finance", "advertising", "restaurants", "tourism" and "social services".

Included are STEM professional trainings, from state-protected specialties, in professions with an expected shortage of specialists. It is planned to provide employment to at least 322 of the unemployed persons who have successfully completed the training under the project.
