The BCCI Delegation in China Visited the 24th International Fair for Investments and Trade /CIFIT/

The Programme of the Bulgarian Delegation in China, organised by BCCI, continues with a visit to the city of Xiamen and participation in the 24^th edition of the International Fair for Investments and Trade /CIFIT/. The event is organised by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China in the period from 8 to 11 September 2024.

The Fair is one of the most influential international investment events in the world. In the past years, each of the CIFIT editions has attracted participants from governments, organisations for stimulating investments, business associations and multinational corporations from more than 100 countries and regions. More than 1,000 business delegations from nearly 5,000 companies and 50,000 business representatives participate in it. During the expo, the delegation took part in the International Investment Forum 2024. The event was attended by representatives of the Chinese government, Chambers of commerce, Investment agencies, etc.

The Forum discussed the financial environment, the investment situation in China and the recovery after the Covid pandemic. Emphasis was put on recovering the supply chains, stimulating investments, on the financial openness and on cooperation.

It presented the Bank of China's strategy for the country's future development, including the achievement of sustainability and greater productivity. Several presentations showed the opportunities to finance green economy and sustainable development, sustainable financial regulation and other up-to-date topics.

During the Xiamen exhibition, special meetings were held by the representatives of the Bulgarian Investment Agency, the Bulgarian Development Bank, the Fund of Funds and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov visited pavilions and stands of partner organisations.

The visit continues with meetings in Beijing with partner organisations and representatives of the Bulgarian Embassy in the Chinese capital, as well as with other initiatives.
